Hello! I am excited to share a few more projects from my last assignment from We R Memory Keepers-they will be making their TV debut on HSN or Craft and Create UK! All of these projects were created with the Evolution-featuring Lifestyle Crafts dies and We R's embossing folders. SO MUCH FUN!!!!
My plan was to showcase the versitilty of these amazing dies and embossing folders-the possibilities are endless!!!
Here I altered a simple everyday brown lunch bag into a fun way to create a custom gift bag! I die cut the top of the brown bag with the Polka dot cut out die. After I placed the surprise inside, and topped it with tissue paper, I turned the top of the bag down and stapled it closed. I finished with a strip of patterned paper to cover the staples, and created a little embellishment cluster of a few random dies and enamel dots! The patterned paper I used is We R's Shine collection!
Isn't this floral print, fabulous !?! I want to make a million things with it! To create the embossed floral petals I simply cut 4 one and a half inch squares and ran them through the Evolution using the triangle embossing folder. I used my 1/2" Corner Chomper and rounded two corners of each square (see photo to see which corners on each square). I adhered a coordinating patterned paper strip across the center of the card base to create a visual anchor and then I adhered the flower petals as shown in the photo and placed an enamel dot in the center!
Again, wanting to showcase the versitility of dies-I used one of the largest floral nesting dies to create this tissue paper puff. I die cut many many many layers of tissue paper, stacked them all, took an "X" stitch in the very center, then started to fluff and scrunch each tissue paper layer-it is like magic, watching it turn into a multi dimentional flower, before your very eyes. I, then, used it as a topper on a square gift box, that I covered with a coordinating patterned paper, and finished it with a custom gift tag! I used We R Memory Keepers Silver and Gold patterned paper collection.
I am always trying out fun and different ways to present little gifties! Here I embossed a french fry bag! Yes, a french fry bag! One of my favorite places to peruse for unusual inspirational pieces, is Smart and Final! While wandering up and down the aisles, I found a giant box of french fry bags and instantly, my noggin was swimming with cool ideas!
So, as I was saying, I embossed a french fry bag-because it is so thin, the embossing is amazing! I gathered a bunch of different patterned papers from the Shine collection and die cut, banners, pennants, tickets and a scalloped shape and created a yummy little layered embellishment cluster-I love layers and clusters of lots of bits and pieces!
So, knowing my love of layers and clusters, you can imagine how much I fell in love with this fantastic patterned paper from the Shine collection! I fussy cut with my We R Art Knife around two of the coral printed tickets, then slipped my photo behind. To complete the layout, I added more die cuts, enamel dots and ribbons!
One last Shine collection/Evolution undertaking! Another way to utilize die cut elements on a project-bold and graphic with lots of white space!
So there you have it, lots of embossing and die cut inspiration! Go out and make something cool today!!!
