This week, Xyron is partnering with KaiserCraft! How exciting, right!?! KaiserCraft has so many innovative and beautiful products, I just couldn't wait to get started!
Friends greeting card
First off, with the Flora Delight I created this friendship card. Aren't the colors gorgeous? This was a perfect KaiserCraft/Xyron project-I started with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card base (folded in half) then I cut a half an inch off the bottom of one end. I punched a bunch of 1 inch circles from KaiserCraft's 6 1/2 inch Paper Pad, I ran them thru Xyron's 150 (permanent adhesive cartridge). To create the scalloped edge, I adhered the first row of circles along the short edge-leaving half of the circle off the edge. Then with each subsequent row, I staggered circles until I reached the top edge. I trimmed the over hanging circles along sides and top edge. I tied a length of vintage seam binding and the "Friends are like Flowers" tag around top of card.
Altered vintage book photo display
SHUT UP! this is one of the most darling artsy creations I have ever made! A folded page, altered book photo display. KaiserCraft"s 75 cents matches my living room perfectly, so my noggin was swirling with a million ideas! A long time ago, I saw a version of this idea and just knew I could make it more "Ann-like" I took a vintage book I had in my stash, starting from the center, fold in the pages, about 10 at a time, working your way out on each side. Fold until it looks aesthetically pleasing to you, (I left a few pages flat) .I created a little platform with some of the sweet little 75 cent collectables. I inked everything with Ranger Black Soot Distress ink. I added some dimension with some KaiserCraft paper blooms and some vintage seam binding from my stash.
Accordian fold out mini album
For this sweet little accordian fold out mini, I cut 2 lengths of cardstock 12"x 2 1/2", score every 2 inches and crease. Then I overlapped one set of panels and adhered them with my Xyron Mega Runner. Next, I took a sheet from the 6 1/2" paper pad that has many small rectangular tags and cut them apart, inked them and adhered them to the folded base. I punched crest shapes, inked them, then adhered one to each panel. Finally I inked the word EXPLORE from a package of KaiserCraft wood letter words, starting at the center panel. I adhered them to the center of the crest shapes.
Altered Round Shadow box frame
1. paint shadow frame with graphite acrylic paint
2. Run entire sheet of 12x12 Farthing patterned paper thru Xyron's Creatopia permanent adhesive cartridge (floral side down) lay backing piece of shadow frame onto domino side and trim to edge of circle.
4.
