just because they go off to college, doesn't mean we don't still feel the need to do "mom" kinds of things. maybe we aren't there to send them off on their first day of classes, but we can send sweet loving reminders in the form of care packages. I created these little gifties for my darling daughter and her dorm mate and sent them in the mail. We all appreciate happy mail, and I am sure in the midst of the whole new world of college life, a little bit of "mom love" will brighten their days. I have a whole bunch of care package ideas I will be sending off to my little chickadee-so check back often, as I will post them here with some how to's so you can send them off to someone you love too!
For this little bag topper, I used We R Memory Keepers "Hall Pass" collection, Xyron Mega Runner and Imaginisce's I-top punches. I cut a piece of patterned paper the width of a zip-top snack bag (approx 6 inches by approx 4 inches) I folded it in half (long way) I cut another piece slightly shorter on the sides (5 1/2 x 4 inches) adhere to base patterned paper. I punched 4 consentric circles with all 4 I-top punches to create a fabulous little floral element and adhered it to the base with a fabric brad from the Hall Pass collection. I printed off a fitting little sentiment from my computer and added it as a finishing touch!
