one simple word
i am telling you choosing just one, is not so simple-i always have a handful of words that intrigue me, interest me, challenge me. i love words, so to choose just one, well, that takes a bit of thinkin'! it has taken me about a week of pondering and narrowing my list down, but i think i have come up with one that is a personal challenge and is fascinating enough to me to keep me motivated for 365 days.
i love stories-i love to read stories, hear stories, tell stories. I love to write stories, figure out stories, and document stories. I want to tell my story, listen to other's stories, and document my family's stories. Stories are who we are, what we do, where we have been. I want to remember and honor it all, the good, bad and kinda ugly. I want to savor and save the story.
have you chosen one simple word? it is the most extraordinary experience-life enriching!
January 1st-the ultimate fresh start is upon us-the possibilities for the year 2010 are endless! As I have for about 4 years now, I am contemplating my "one little word" for the year. Last year's word was meaningful. As I reflect on the year that was 2009 I am assured that it was indeed meaningful. It was filled with joyful times, challenging times, transformative times, sweet and simple times, trying times, and just about everything in between-one thing I know for sure, they were all meaningful. My sister made me a beautiful "meaningful" garland, each time I am reminded to make it meaningful! Thanks Teresa!
So today, take some time, reminisce and reflect on your 2009. Cherish all of those moments, they all came together to make 2009 the year it was-your year!
