last night, in my lots of layouts class at scrap happy sisters-i met a girlie who is from michigan, that was pretty darn cool-then we got to talkin', you know how we scrappers do-anywho, she tells me she is from the upper pennisula-wow i say-then she drops the bomb on me-she is from the same tribe as me-same band and everything! SHUT UP, I SAY-and like a true yooper she says "oh yeah" (long vowels of course!) we spent the evening just talking "home" with her-now, i'm really missing michigan! HOLY SMOKES, EH! man oh man! she just warmed the cockles of my heart! thanks, eve!

so here we are november 19th-is anyone else out there shocked that we are just mere days away from thanksgiving-i know that i sure am! so much has happened since last i wrote-geoff's parent's were here for a visit and to celebrate both his and his mom's birthday's-his dad and miranda's were celebrated too! october and november are bursting with birthday celebrations around here! saturday marked the day that my miranda turned 14! i think geoff and i are still trying to wrap our brains around the fact that she is blossoming into this amazing and competent young woman. we had a party on saturday-complete with roller skating, cake and ice cream and a pinata. we took a brief breather and then set off for the trans syberian orchestra concert-amazing! rock orchestra is the best way to describe it! yesterday we just piddled around here all day-it was super nice. tonight, i am teaching disney university and how cool is this-the theme is disney christmas! will post photos from all of our happenings-tomorrow. a
this is the rusty pickle christmas garland that i will be teaching at everafter in carlsbad california, december 1st-during the rusty pickle merry grinchmas event. what a great time we are going to have! for more photos of this project check out the photo album at the right. thanks for looking! ann
TODAY I RECEIVED MY GOLDEN TICKET INTO CREATIVE ESCAPE 2008!!!! for those of you who are not scrapbooking lunatics, creative escape is just about the greatest thing to hit the scrapbooking world since-well, i don't actually know-but suffice it to say-it is AMAZING! anyway, tickets are super hard to come by-this year they were available by lottery only-so it is a coveted thing, indeed! can hardly wait-and the fascinating thing is that it isn't until september of 2008! i know, a long way off, but whatever! i just realized after a entire week that i didn't tag anyone, after i was tagged-who knew there was tagging protocol-so here goes, i am tagging shannon, jill cornelius ( i always think of yukon cornelius whenever i read your name-remember from rudolph!) jessica, kristan, jean, and kathie-d-okay what are your 7 random facts?????? (non bloggers, i'd love to hear from you too-sis, aunt arlene, b&e, aunt dee, teresa-come on-it's only 7 things!) i posted some photos from halloween night-love them. as i have said in the past, our neighborhood goes all out-the lady on the corner, dresses up as a fortune teller-complete with a crystal ball and tell the kiddos fortunes-on the opposite corner a witch hands out treats from her cauldron, and next door they are dressed to the max and errie screaming sounds and songs from every halloween movie drift thru the neighborhood, amber across the street brought me a bowl of chili and some of her amazing cornbread and a slice of coconut custard pie that was absolutely the bomb diggety! kiddos were everywhere- it was a halloween to go into the history books-we loved every minute of it! off to create something fantastic for miranda's birthday invitation-got any great ideas for a 14 year old's birthday party? we would gladly accept ANY! am
