well, spring break has come to an end, it is apparent by the rat a tat tat from miranda's keyboard as she puts the finishing touches on her essay on patriotism. i am anxious to have a gander at it, but it has not been offered yet-so i will wait patiently. what a week miss miranda has had, we attended an arizona sting lacross game friday night, miranda asked her friend jazzie along and we all had such a terrific time. saturday started the hot tamales new season and they we not to be denied-they have to defend their title and they did! later that day we hooked up aunt dee's computer-so glad that she is entering the computer age. sadly we did not really celebrate st. patty's day this year, we decorated, but did not have any corned beef and cabbage-much to my dismay-oh well, there is always next year. monday, geoff left for a business trip to texas, while he was there he got to spend time with some old friends and his brother eric's family-he was even able to attend one of jackie's soccer games-awesome! miranda and i went to volleyball practice. we were so surprised and happy to see gladys. she had suffered a head injury the previous thursday while playing basketball, lost memory and was told she might not be able to play for quite a while. she was heartbroken. but, she must have done some miraculous healing, because she got her doctor's clearance monday morning and was playing at full tilt.
tuesday, we along with one of our old day care friends john, headed out to the arizona science museum to see body worlds 3 , an anatomical exhibition of real human bodies. kind of gross and completly facinating at the same time. while waiting in line we hooked up with miranda's friend jessica (from volleyball and confirmation) and her family, so we explored the dead bodies with them. it was simply amazing, you became very aware of your muscles, your capalaries, your body in general. if you get the chance, you should take the opportunity to witness this magnificent exhibit. one of their tag lines is "discover what you're made of" and that is SO TRUE. wednesday, miranda, her good friend stacy, emily (my little day care girlie) and myself went bowling and had ourselves a time. our only bowling strategy is to have fun- and we always do. thursday, was party day-jazzie hosted a spring party attended by a bunch of girlfriend's. they played all sorts of party games, broke a pinata, ate pizza and just had lots of girl time. she had a terrific time! i taught class thursday night to one of the coolest groups of ladies-i so look forward to being with every month. geoff came home and we are whole again!
friday night, i did a quick photo shoot for jade. we shared cheese pizza (no meat!!!) with a houseful, jerry and his crew, us and miranda's friend ashley, who was spending the night. saturday morning the girls had to be at the y at 7:30 to warm up for their 8:00 game. i am happy to say that they continue their winning streak. i had to scoot to scrap happy to teach my second nyobc class to another amazing group of ladies. and then came home and i must say-just vegged for a bit.
i am continuing to document the things i am grateful for. i hope that you are too. thanks for the awesome comments, pat, shannon, and ben and eileen. i love that. pat, i can totally picture it all in my mind's eye.
you rock, sis. miss you like mad!!!!
so for now i will simply say-make it a great week!
i know we will give it our best shot.
p.s. has anyone out there started watching the black donnely's? we have and we just love it. if you haven't check it out-it is on monday evenings at 9:00 on abc. let me know what you think.
