thanksgiving weekend was a blast-lots of family, food, shopping and relaxing! the usual crew was here for dinner on thursday, minus my sister and her family. we missed them dearly! we had a few new visitors though, my brother jerry brought his friend carrie and her daughter jade, she is 12 yrs. old and she and miranda had good time being silly girls together. my cousin christopher brought his wife-our newest member of the family-jessica, we were so happy to see them. geoff said what a awesome surprise it was for them to come to dinner here-we know they had lots of families to visit in one day. we had a magnificent meal, thanks to geoff! he is a real good cooker-as stated by my darling nephew seth! sadly the broncos did not fair so well.
geoff and i ventured out bright and early friday am to start our christmas shopping-i am always filled with the holiday spirit being out in the hustle and bustle of "black friday" shopping! we did manage to get quite a bit done and were home by 7:30 and the house was still asleep.
geoff's parents love the movies as much as we do, so a visit to the theatre was on tap-we saw "stranger than fiction" SO GOOD!!!!
the rest of the weekend was pretty kick back. we met up with my friend kristan on sunday evening at the mormon temple in mesa. we each took the other's family photos-neither of us claims to be a professional photographer-but we did okay. she has such a lovely family-you really can't take a bad photo of them. and i must say, we look pretty darn cute in ours too!
last night i taught my mini album class at scraphappy sisters-i just love that place and all those cute girls that hang out there and take my classes! hey vicki! it was super fun, as always!
photos to come soon.
hope all is well with you and yours.
and that your thanksgiving weekend is one you are grateful for!
